In 2006, he played Mikey Thomas in Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center, Armstrong and Phil in An Experiment with an Air Pump with the Potomac Theatre Project, Reverend David Marshall Lee in The Foreigner (directed by Stewart F. Lane) at the Olney Theatre Center, Young Scrooge & Fred in A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas at Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC.

His other regional credits include Larry in Anna Christie at Arena Stage (directed by Molly Smith), Dolan in Mister Roberts at the Kennedy Center (directed by Robert Longbottom), The Comedy of Errors at the Folger Theatre where he played both Antipholus twins, Anna Karenina (Olney Theatre Center), Piaf (Potomac Theatre Project), Romeo and Juliet (The Shakespeare Theatre), Color Me Dark (Crossroads Theatre/Kennedy Center), A Light in the Storm (Kennedy Center Youth and Family Programs), The Invention of Love (Studio Theatre), Dogg’s Hamlet, Cahoot’s Macbeth (Longacre Lea Productions), Terra Nova (Project Y), Ionesco’s Macbett and Love’s Labour’s Lost (Washington Shakespeare).

Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Clinton spent two and a half years touring the United States and Canada with Shenandoah Shakespeare where he played such roles as Romeo, Malcolm in Macbeth, Rafe in The Knight of the Burning Pestle, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, and Mowbray & Harry Percy in Richard II.

He trained at Southern Methodist University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Clinton is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
